The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been declared winner of the Ondo State governorship election held on Saturday.
The declaration was made on Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, after winning all the 18 local government areas of the state.
Declaring Aiyedatiwa winner, the State Returning Officer, Prof Olayemi Akinwumi, said the APC candidate recorded 366,781 votes to beat his closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Agboola Ajayi, who recorded 117,845 votes.
His words: “That Ayedatiwa Lucky Orimisan of APC, having satisfied the requirement of the law is hereby returned elected.”
