Ondo State House of Assembly on Wednesday began an impeachment move against the deputy governor of the State, Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa.
The move followed alleged misconduct of the deputy governor.
The House directed the Clerk of the House, Jaiyeola Benjamin, to write Ayedatiwa, over the allegation of gross misconduct he was said to have committed.
The petition which was read at the plenary presided over by the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji, was signed by nine out of the 26 legislators.
The decision to write the deputy governor, according to the Majority leader of the House, was in agreement with section 188 of the Nigeria constitution.
The notice of motion was read by the Clerk of the House.
