Professor Bayo Oloyede, immediate past Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences Redemeer’s University, Ede, Osun State has been inducted as a member of the Nigerian Academy of Letters, NAL.
The induction took place during the 25th convocation held at the University of Lagos on Thursday.
It was presided over by the president of NAL, Prof. Duro Oni, FNAL.
Mr Olalekan Otun, Chairman, Committee of Distinguished Alumni, CODA, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State described Oloyede’s induction as a member of Nigerian Academy of Letters, NAL, as well deserving.
Otun noted that “Prof Oloyede has been able to bring his academic knowledge and brilliance to bear on our society by impacting and mentoring his students and supervisees, which I am one of them.”

Pastor Ezekiel Obasanya, National President of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Alumni Association, MAPALUM, “commended Prof Oloyede and his spouse in particular for contributing to his success, managing the home front and enabling him to uphold his good character and integrity.”
Said Obasanya: “CODA and MAPOLY Alumni salute Prof Oloyede’s induction as a member of NAL and further appreciate his contributions to academics, human capacity development and the field of journalism in general. ”
Prof Bayo Oloyede is the first recipient of distinction in Master’s Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Lagos.
Author of books, he has published in several reputable journals.
He was Head of the Department of Mass Communications, MAPOLY, Abeokuta before joining the service of Redemeer’s University.
