Former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has rejoiced with the state governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Oladipupo Adebutu on his conferment as the Gbademu of Owu kingdom.
The of the title was made by Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, Oluyato Otileta VII, the Olowu of Owu kingdom.
Daniel described the title as well deserved.
The statement reads in part: “
“This chieftaincy title is a fitting recognition of your distinguished contributions, character and commitment to the development of our people.
“My wife, Yeye Olufunke Daniel and I expressed our deep confidence that you will bring the same passion, wisdom and dedication to this new traditional responsibility, while continuing to promote unity, progress and the enduring values of the Owu Kingdom and Ogun State in general.
“We also extend our warm congratulations to your wife, Yeye Adenike Omolola Adebutu, who has also been conferred as Yeye Gbademu.
“May this honour mark the beginning of an even greater chapter of service and impact in your lives.”
