The Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, NBBC, has announced that President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will automatically become its Grand Patron once he is sworn in.
The announcement was made in a congratulatory letter by the board to Tinubu on his election as the president of Nigeria in the last general election.
The statement was signed by Dr. Rafiu Oladapo and Mr. Remi Aboderin.
The board said Tinubu’s victory in the election was a testimony of God’s good purpose for his life and the love Nigerians had for him.
“Your sincerity and purposeful leadership plus your resilience also worked in your favour, congratulations sir.
“The Nigerian Boxing Board of Control and the entire Sporting World greets you.
“Please, accept our sincere and best sporting regards,” the letter reads in part.”
