Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is gradually turning to a big festival ground with the arrival of different troupes for the National Festival for Arts and Culture, NAFEST.
The festival kicks off on Saturday and will be on till October 27, 2018.
Speaking on the festival which is designed to sell the culture of the Rivers people to the world, the Commissioner for Information in the state, Mr. Emmah Okah, said different groups from the states of the federation would converge on Port Harcourt for the event.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mrs Tonye Oniyide, who also spoke on the event said it would be an opportunity to showcase the culture of the people of the state to the world.
Among other things, the event will impact positively on the economy of the state.
