The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria, MUSWEN, has congratulated its Deputy President II, Alhaji Thabit Wale Sonaike, on his recent turbanning as the Baba Adinni of Akoka Central Mosque, Akoka, Lagos State.
His wife, Alhaja Bilikis Tokunbo Sonaike who was honoured with the title of Iya Sunnah of the Mosque was equally congratulated by MUSWEN.
The Muslim group, in a statement signed by Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, President and Professor Wole Abbas, Executive Secretary, said the honour bestowed on the couple were well deserved.
“Alhaji Thabit Wale Sonaike and his wife are renowned for their service and dedication to the cause of Islam and the Ummah. We are therefore not surprised that the Akoka Central Mosque found them worthy of the titles of Baba Adinni and Iya Sunnah respectively.
“We pray Allah to grant them long life, good health, wisdom and all the wherewithal to shoulder the responsibilities that go with the titles,” MUSWEN said.
