Mohbad: Primeboy declared wanted by police turns himself in

Owodunni Ibrahim (a.k.a. Primeboy), declared wanted by the police in Lagos in connection with the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, is now in police custody.

He turned himself in.

The spokesman of the police command in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known on Thursday in a statement on his Facebook wall.

His words: “Following his being declared wanted, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin a.k.a. Primeboy has turned himself in. He has, immediately, been taken into custody for interrogation and other necessary actions.”

Hundeyin, in the statement, gave the assurance to family, friends, fans of Mohbad and the general public that no stone would be left unturned in ensuring a most diligent investigation.

“The Command equally assures that all persons found culpable in the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad will definitely be brought to justice,” the spokesman said.

FrontPage reported that Primeboy was declared wanted on Wednesday in connection with the death of 27-year-old singer, Mohbad.

The police also placed a N1 million bounty on Primeboy’s head for anyone who might give information that could lead to his arrest.

Hundeyin said that the suspect was declared wanted following his refusal to honour police invitation.

Primeboy was described as an associate and friend of Mohbad.

Said the police spokesman: “Following his failure to honour police invitation successfully sent to him since the commencement of investigation into circumstances leading to Mohbad’s death, the police hereby declare Owodunni Ibrahim a.k.a. Primeboy wanted.

“Ibrahim is approximately 1.64m tall, male, dark-complexioned with tribal marks and Yoruba by tribe.

“His last known address is 3rd Power, Oke Eletu, Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

“If seen, contact the nearest police station or call 08036885727.

“Commissioner of Police, Mr Idowu Owohunwa, offers a handsome reward of N1 million to anyone with useful information leading to Primeboy’s arrest.’’
