President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the nomination of Maryam Shetty as a minister.
Shetty is from Kano.
The president replaced her with Mariga Mahmoud who is also from Kano.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, made the withdrawal known on Friday at the plenary when he read a communication from President Tinubu to that effect.

Akpabio disclosed that the president added to the list, former Minister of State for Labour, Mr. Festus Keyamo.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday, the president forwarded a list of 19 nominees to the Senate for approval.
He had earlier sent a list of 28 nominees for ministerial positions.
With the addition of Keyamo, 48 nominees have so far been forwarded to the Senate by the president.
Screening of the nominees are ongoing at the Senate.
