Majekodunmi inaugurated as Ogun SUBEB chairman

The Executive Chairman, Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, Tuesday expressed the commitment of the board under his leadership to deliver on the mandate given to it by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Majekodunmi gave the assurance while addressing the management of the board shortly after he and other members of the board were inaugurated by the governor at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.

He said for a state like Ogun where education was key to the people, he and other board members were more than prepared to turn around positively the fortune of the board such that it would be a source of emulation by other boards in the country.

According to the Baagbile of Egbaland, with the calibre of members of the board who he said had all distinguished themselves in their various profession, he was sure that the board was in safe hands, assuring that they could not afford to disappoint not only Governor Abiodun but the entire people of the state.

While lauding Governor Abiodun for finding him and other members of the board worthy to serve, he said they owed it a duty to be his eyes in the board such that he would be proud of them, noting that qualitative education was one of the cardinal programmes of the governor.

The SUBEB chairman however appealed to the management and entire staff to be up and doing in the discharge of their duties, disclosing that he was going to run an open door system with every staff of the board as partners since whatever glory or otherwise that would come to the board would be for all of them.
