Dr Adedayo Daodu has been appointed the Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of Lagos State University of Education, Oto-Ijanikin.
Daodu, and Associate Professor, was the Deputy Provost of Legacy College, AOCOED, and Acting Dean, College of Specialised and Professional Education, COSPED, LASUED until his appointment as Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor.
Dr. Daodu Adedayo is a seasoned Counselling Psychologist.
He hails from Epe Town in Epe local government area of Lagos State.
He attended Lagos State College of Education Oto//Ijanikin between 1991-1994.
His thirst for knowledge took him to the University of Lagos where he obtained both his B.A(Ed) and M.Ed in Guidance & Counselling between 1996-2001.
He later proceeded to the University of lbadan where in 2008, he bagged his Ph.D in Counselling Psychology.
He joined the service of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, AOCOED, Oto/ljanikin, Lagos in August 2021 from Assistant Lecturer and rose through the rank until he became Chief Lecturer in 2018.

He was a former Head, Department of Educational Psychology, Guidance and Counselling.
He was elected as treasurer of Academic Union, COEASU, for six years.
He was equally appointed by the AOCOED Governing Council as the Deputy Provost from February 2021 to 2023.
The first promotion exercise that took place after the transmutation of both Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Oto/Ijanikin and Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, Noforija Epe, into the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) took Dr. Daodu to the cadre of an Associate Professor in October 2022.
His well-researched articles have been published in both local and international journals.
He has written other books including Fundamentals of Guidance and Counselling, Essential of Educational Psychology, Understanding Abnormal Psychology (A Simplified Approach) to mention but a few.
Dr. ‘Dayo Daodu is a practicing and consulting counsellor.
He is a member of Counselling Association of Nigeria, CASSON, Association of Practicing Counsellors of Nigeria, APROCON, Positive Psychology Association of Nigeria, PoPAN and others.
He is married with children.
