Four buildings have collapsed as a result of the intensity of the fire outbreak at Dosunmu Market on Lagos Island on Tuesday.
Lagos Territorial Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, made this known.
He said 14 other buildings were seriously impacted by the fire.
Quoting sources, the NEMA boss said the fire must have been caused following the refuelling of a running generator at the market.
According to him, unfortunately, the fire could not be contained.
Some of the emergency responders on ground are NEMA, Federal and State Fire Services, the Nigeria Police and fire service of the Nigeria Ports Authority.
