
A two-cubicle students toilet constructed by a teacher of Lagos Baptist Senior College, Orile Agege, Lagos, Mrs. Balogun Ramota Temitope, is to be inaugurated on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the school premises.
The project is expected to be inaugurated by the Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli Balogun.
Dignitaries expected at the occasion are the Tutor General and Permanent Secretary, Education District I, Mr. Adebowale Bashir Adeoye and the principal of the school, Mr. Adeyemi Mathew Olufemi.
Speaking to FrontPage, the Technical Drawing Teacher said she embarked on the project as her modest contribution to humanity through the school.

According to her, the idea of the project was conceived some years back during her youth service.
She said finding herself in the environment of the school created the opportunity for her to fulfill her dream of constructing a toilet for the use of the students.
Balogun said the importance of the project was seen in the need to support the existing one.
According to her, the about to inaugurated toilet would help decongest the existing one and make access easy since it is located in a central area.
She described sourcing the fund as a major problem which took her one year, eight months to complete.
She said she had to, on a monthly basis, take from her salary, in addition to sourcing fund from family and friends to carry out the project.
Expressing her fulfilment, she expressed gratitude to all those who supported her.
She was also grateful to the students, who she said, were delighted to learn and participate in the project.
