All is set for the annual seminar organised for graduating students of Lagos Baptist Secondary School, Orile Agege, Lagos, holding today.
Put together by the old students of the school under the aegis of Lagos Baptist Secondary School Old Students Association, it has as its theme, “Empowering Minds for a Transformed Future: The Legacy of Learning and Leadership.”
The event which will hold at the school’s assembly hall will commence at exactly 10.00 a.m.
In a statement by the coordinator of the programme and president of the 1984 set of the old students of the school, Mr. Akindele Ojo (JP), the event will be graced by the Tutor General and Permanent Secretary of the Education District 1.
To chair the occasion is the chairman of Orile Agege Local Government Development Authority, Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu.
The Master of Ceremony will be an old student and renowned medical practitioner, Dr Aina Olufemi Odusola, while the principal of the school, Mrs. Modupe Shofela, will deliver the welcome address.
The first speaker at the seminar, Muhammad Quieyaz Adebayo will take the topic, “Beyond WAEC: Character That Secures Your Future”; the second speaker, Mr. Yinka Sonuga will speak on “Integrity in Examination: Choosing the Right Path”; the third resource person, Mrs. Funsho Bolawole, will speak on “The Influence of Parents and Guardians on WAEC Success” while the fourth resource person, Mr. Ademola Abiodun, will speak on “Peer Review, Not Peer Distraction: The Smart Path to WAEC Success”.
The guest speaker, Pastor Ogunleye Gbenga, will speak on “Using Technology the Right Way to Pass WASSCE”.
There will also be a Question and Answer session and Special Recognition.
The vote of thanks will be given by one of the old students, Mr. Sakibu Olokojobi.
