The governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has nominated an ex-corps member, who has just finished the mandatory one year service to the nation, Miss Musa Nafisat Buge, as commissioner designate.

Reacting to the nomination, the coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, in Kwara State, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa, on behalf of the director general, Brigadier General Yisha’u Dogara Ahmed, expressed aappreciation to the governor.

He declared the appointment as a clear testimony of the passion the governor had for the graduate youths.

The state coordinator said that the kind gesture was an incontrovertible fact that given the right atmosphere, the graduate youths would excel in whatever capacity they were placed considering the training they had undergone beginning with the orientation course and throughout the service year.

“Your consideration of someone who has just finished the service has filled the scheme and the entire youth constituency in the state with a strong sense of pride and I would like to appreciate His Excellency for this rare feat and singular honour done to boost the morale of the youths.”

The NYSC boss said that considering the enormous responsibilities of the exalted office of the governor, he had once again reiterated his commitment towards youth development, and that had placed his administration above others in similar responsibility.

The NYSC boss congratulated the Commissioner designate, Miss Musa Nafisat Buge, on the honour bestowed on her and urged her to continue to remain a proud ambassador of the scheme.

“Your Excellency Sir, her nomination did not come as a surprise because NYSC is known to prepare the youths for such positions of leadership. Her nomination will drive His Excellency’s agenda towards fulfilling his mandate and bring dividends of democracy to the good people of Kwara State,” he said.
