I feel relieved to find out that the King of World Beats, the inimitable King Sunny Ade, is indeed alive, hale and hearty for his age.
Congratulations my King!
It is said, and I have no proof for or against it; that KSA is one of the most invested performers in the pantheon with shares in the banking, entertainment and oil and gas sectors. When you are successful, it usually comes with a price.
For KSA, that price is polygamy. You’d be a polygamist too if you were handsome with two horizontal marks delicately etched on your handsome face; have better dancing footwork than the legendary Michael Jackson and a capacity to outperform every performer out there and across all ages and climes. Iba o, Kabiesi laafin Orin.

But the fake rumours of KSA’s alleged abduction and dementia have revealed a big chasm in his private life. Indulgent children from different mothers, scattered across different land and climes squabbling over royalties while their father is still alive. That is very painful to watch and read. Children, go get a life.
I hope the King of World Beats takes a cue from this and begins to put his house in order. We don’t want these salacious headlines after the King has joined the saints triumphant. May the King live forever, and his enemies live to see him succeed more.
