The remaining 130 school children of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri community, Agwara local government area of Niger State, in the custody of kidnappers, have been released.
The announcement was made on Sunday by officials of the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, to journalists.
Recall that 100 of the students were released earlier.
The latest makes the total number of students released, 230.
Gunmen stormed the school on November 21, 2025 and kidnapped the students.
Authorities were quoted as saying that the release of the children followed sustained security pressure and coordinated efforts mounted.
