A Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Registered Surveyors and Valuers and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, Elder Oluwadare Bello, will be honoured with a Doctorate in Estate Management (Honoris Causa) on Friday by Joseph Ayo Babalola University, JABU.
The vice-chancellor of the university, Prof. Olasebikan Fakolujo, made the announcement on Monday at a press conference ahead of the 14th convocation of the university.
According to the vice-chancellor, Oluwadare Bello was one of the eminent personalities who had highly distinguished themselves in their respective vocations and services to humanity.
A Barrister at Law, Bello has been described as a great industrialist, eminent estate valuer, a humanist, a devout Christian and a phenomenon in benevolence and philanthropy.

According to one of his secondary school mates and close friends, Mr. Olaonipekun Dare (a.k.a. Oji), Bello is a prominent member of Ekiti Baptist High School Old Students Association, EBHSOASA, and the financial pillar of the EBHS 1972-1976 Set where he helped immensely in contributing to the development of the EBHS and humanity.
He described him as a compassionate and God-fearing man who is always looking for how to bring out the best in every individual that crosses his path.
Olaonipekun Dare’s congratulatory message reads in part: “Oluwadare Bello is kind, compassionate and God-fearing who is always looking for how to bring out the best in every individual that crosses his path. For several decades he has wiped off tears the eyes of thousands of men and women who are struggling with daily challenges. People who make other live never die. Rather, they continue to live in the throbbing heart of humanity for ever. Dr. Oludare Bello belongs to this genre of humanity. Congratulations.”
