Imo State government has announced that the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the state will take place across the 27 local government areas in Imo State on Saturday.
It will hold between 7am – 10am.
Both vehicular and human movements, the government said, would be restricted except for those on essential duties.
Mobile courts are said to be in place to prosecute offenders.
The General Manager, Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) and Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, Hon. MacDonald Ebere and his team will be on ground to provide the necessary supervision.
Governor Hope Uzodinma was quoted as requesting all Imo citizens to participate massively in the exercise to restore the environmental integrity of the state and to bear in mind that a clean environment makes for healthy living.
