Activities marking this year’s Ijebu Ife Day will kick off from Thursday, 8th October, 2026 with a series of exciting events.
The chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the celebration, Chief Gbenga Omilola, made this known in a statement on Saturday.
The events will include Health Walk, Medical Outreach, Indoor games, Woro, School Debate, Carnival and Football Competition (final) sponsored by IMBIL Telecoms.
Ikokore Night is also scheduled for Thursday at Legacy Hall, Ajalorun Palace by 7 p.m. with inspiring music from Teddy.
On Friday, 9th October, 2026, youth carnival will hold at Itawade, Ijebu Ife, and followed by Jumat Service at Central Mosque, Ijebu Ife.
The final of the football competition at Ijebu Ife Community Grammar School, Oke Ife, and Miss Ijebu Ife Beauty Pageant, packaged by IMBIL Telecoms will hold at the Ajalorun Palace, Legacy Hall from 7 p.m.
The grand finale and homage to Oba Adesesan Afolorunso Oguntayo, Ajalorun of Ijebu Ife, is fixed for Saturday, 10th October at Ajalorun Palace, Ijebu Ife.
Apala king, Alhaji Musiliu Haruna Isola, and Lufemi and African Band will thrill guests and indigenes.
