If it is about hunger, most Nigerians are feeling the burn right now but there are a few who have joined in the chorus of “Ebi n pa wa”, that are only making mockery of the poor masses.
Funnily enough, some hungry Nigerians are clapping for these set of moneybags whose real intention is to protect their “dubious businesses” being affected by the current government policies.
No doubt the poor people indeed are hungry, however there are a few loud ones who are not really hungry but nursing the wound of defeat their candidates suffered at the last presidential election. They are angry. They are bitter.
Their intention is to make those who supported Tinubu’s presidential ambition feel guilty and I think they have succeeded in winning a few to their side, using emotional blackmail.
They derive succour from the “We told you” slogan. They see the present situation as victory and a measure of their wisdom.
I may not want to blame those who have moved to the wailers’ side because of the economic situation. Not everybody can bear the pains but I’m sure they will come back as soon as they see a ray of hope.
In my little corner, I feel the pain like many others but then I’m happy that some people are not getting government’s free money to run their private businesses as it was during the era of Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of Central Bank.
If the debate is not against Tinubu then it is not debatable. Of course, he is the head of this government and should be accountable, however a federal system expects governors to be more responsible than the president.
I’m happy that CBN is not putting dollars in the pockets of some individuals to become overnight billionaires. At least there is nothing like the fake Mefi’s “Rice Pyramid’.

Yes, I wrote to promote Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition, I did not do it for monetary gains and I thank God he succeeded.
Asking Tinubu to donate his head after the Federal Government had released N30 billion to each state government in the last two months is a height of emotional blackmail by supporters of candidate whose hope of becoming president was dashed about a year ago.
Sometime I wrote about a state government which could only release N5 billion out of the N30 billion and another who released N750 million to cater for traders out of the N35 billion.
This N35 billion, according to President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, was aside the statutory allocation that each state takes monthly.
Last week, President Tinubu had a meeting with the governors where he told them to go and spend the money not the people, yet the wailers have been so silent on this.
It becomes worrisome that the wailers are not ready to listen to any dissenting opinion, including asking them to query their governors and their representatives both at the federal and state levels on how much was allocated by the government to take care of the citizens.
If the debate is not against Tinubu then it is not debatable. Of course, he is the head of this government and should be accountable, however a federal system expects governors to be more responsible than the president.
This government is working on how to bring state police, which in a way will fortify security and allow farmers to go back to the farm. This for me is a step in the right direction but to the blackmailers, Tinubu’s head matters in the discussion.
The head must be dropped in a plate for them to eat, otherwise, the emotion must persist.
To those who hoard foods and goods, Tinubu should be queried for floating the Naira while any other view is undebatable.
They pour their emotions on every issue, which is expected anyway from those who never believed in Asiwaju.
The federal government has its shortcomings, our agitation for quality governance should cut across. Challenge your governors.
