If this isn’t another way to de-market women, make them unattractive for employment and rob them of dignity, I don’t know what is.
How on earth would anyone think up 30 mourning days for widowers, and five months for widows? Incredible!
We might as well make the mourning period a lifetime thing for women!
I wonder if supporters of the outrageous bill see the need for the bereaved to step back into the real world as soon as possible if they must survive the horrendous torture of losing one’s spouse—whether the marriage had been loving or troubled.

I don’t see the reason for any upwardly-mobile person, especially women, to support such a bill.
Plus, situations differ from person to person; but to expect anyone to stay home to mourn for five months is stretching things too far. We might as well make the mourning period a lifetime thing for women!
Maybe I’m alone in this. Sigh.
