It was in a Barbershop I first heard Portable’s song about two years ago and I did not hesitate to shout it down. The barber quickly changed the music. For me Zazoo Zehh is a noise.
But then, it is a song that features one of my favourites, Olamide, who later forced me to have a second look at the lyrics, perhaps I will fall in love.
Till date, Zazoo Zehh has failed to win my heart. It remains a sound of irregular vibration. I may not like Portable songs and the singer’s posture but I’m loving the confidence, outspokenness and intelligence he is displaying lately.
Somebody is packaging Portable, perhaps the “Celestials.”
No doubt, Habeeb Okikiola, a.k.a. Portable Zazoo Zehh is gradually redefining himself. His new found personality is gradually hypnotizing some of us who never love his “madness” appearance.
His boldness despite his less acceptability among the music elite is kissable and he showed this when he met African musical goddess, Tiwa Savage at the British Fashion Awards 2023 in London recently.
Portable, who was among the attendees at the event was in a warm embrace with Tiwa, calling her his “godmother”.
Tiwa has a glowing soft skin, delicate enough that a shy guy would not want to touch or hug. Perhaps that was why Asake could not hold her even when she flaunted the body at him at 02 Arena a few months ago.
However, Portable did not only grab Tiwa, he did not form the approach. He was so natural and crude with it that Tiwa had no option than to appreciate the gesture and praises.

Rhetorically though, I ask, who is managing Zazoo? This Portable is going places and one of it is the British Fashion Awards, which brings together a global community in London, the home of fashion creativity, to amplify leaders of change, celebrate excellence in creativity and support the next generation of creative talent. Is Portable a talent? I think so.

Zazoo Zehh may not be wearing most fashionable clothes, this Portable has found himself with the winners at the glamorous gala event, which included models Paloma Elsesser and Sarah Burton, both designers.
He may not have met Valentino, also known as Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, who received this year’s excellent accomplishment award at British Fashion Awards, Portable is a face at the gathering.

Elsesser was awarded model of the year, and Edward Enninful, the departing editor-in-chief of British Vogue, was given the Trailblazer. Portable sat in the same place with these men and women of fashion and entertainment.
Soon, Portable will be singing at a Celestial Church. I can’t wait to listen to his song of “Celestial” and the beat. Somebody is packaging Portable, perhaps the “Celestials.”
