Empowerment: My mission is to make my people happy –Adefarati

The lawmaker representing Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati, has declared that his desire is to ensure happiness of the people who voted him into power.

Adefarati made the declaration at Akungba Akoko recently when he empowered over one hundred unemployed persons and artisans with grant and equipment to create employment and improve their social well-being.

Over hundred people from the federal constituency in Ondo State benefitted from the programme which was sponsored by the federal government through the National Directorate of Employment, NDE.

Participants were trained in Farming, Hair Dressing and Tailoring and subsequently empowered with fertilizers, hair dryers and sewing machines respectively.

Grant of N50,000 was given to each business owner at the occasion.

108 trained beneficiaries went home with hair dryers while another 84 persons trained for fashion designing went home with sewing machines.

1000 bags of fertilizers were also distributed to farmers.

N76 million was distributed as grants to the small and medium scale business owners in the two local governments.

The facilitator of the projects, Adefarati, implored Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He said the pain being felt by Nigerians at the moment would end soon.

“On our part, we shall do our best to mitigate hunger, we shall make you happy,” he assured.
