The detained former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, will spend his second night at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja.

El -Rufai who presented himself for questioning over corruption allegations on Monday, at the EFCC headquarters Abuja, was held in custody by the anti-graft agency interrogators.

A source from the EFCC said that El-Rufai would still spend Tuesday night with the commission’s interrogators.

”As I am talking to you now the former governor is still with our interrogators and he will be spending the night with them.”

According to the source, the agency would be diligent in its investigation over the allegations levelled against the former governor.

”I can assure you that EFCC will do its job professionally by attending to all issues raised against him.”
