President Bola Tinubu has described his misstep at the Democracy Day celebration at Eagle Square in Abuja on Wednesday as a “swagger”.
The president while boarding the parade vehicle at the venue of the celebration had a misstep.
He, however, got up and continued with the programme of the day.
Video of the misstep has since trended.

But speaking at the dinner on the occasion of the democracy day at the Presidential Villa which was attended by distinguished personalities, the president said the misstep was a mere “swagger”.
He said what he did was a “dobale” (prostration) as a Yoruba person, in honour of the special occasion.
His words: “Early this morning, I had a swagger, and it’s on the social media. They are confused whether I was doing buga or doing babanriga. But it is the day to celebrate democracy. Why doing dobale for the day? I’m a traditionally Yoruba boy. I did my “dobale.”
