The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday predicted that Nigeria will soon recover from coronavirus and life will be back to normal.
This is as he said the journey to normalcy had begun.
Adeboye made the prediction in a televised broadcast to members of the church.
His words: “I believe that I have good news for us. I believe that the journey to normalcy has started.
“I am believing God that your pastors will soon return to their normal duties probably at most, I will spend one more Sunday with you after which the pastors will be back to their duties in Jesus name.
“The return journey to normalcy might not be very rapid or sudden. It might be gradual but it will be steady. I sincerely hope that when the battle is over, we will give all the glory to God.”
He added that Nigeria and Africa would recover before the rest of the world.
He however warned Nigerians to continue to maintain high level of hygiene to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
He also warned that unnecessary journeys should be avoided after the lockdown.
“God will give us (in Africa) victory first before it extends to other parts of the world.
“Even after the lockdowns end, any journey outside the country, except it is very essential, postpone it,’’ he said.
Adeboye explained further that the disease would only recede and not vanish totally.
Said he: “But don’t let anybody deceive you. It is not going to disappear 100 per cent. Flu came about a 100 years ago. It receded. Ebola came. It receded. You know very well they have not died completely. Let’s give all the glory to God that He will see that our victory is complete.’’
