The national director of the Directorate of Politics and Governance, DPG, of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, has dismissed as fundamentally misguided the growing belief that Christians can secure meaningful political relevance merely by participating in politics in the hope of receiving appointments from governors or the president.

He said rather than celebrate political appointments as the ultimate reward for Christian political participation, the church should move beyond what he described as passive, election-season politics.

He charged the Christian folks to immediately begin a deliberate, organised and sustained mobilisation of brethren from the grassroots and ward levels, where, according to him, the real machinery of political power is built.

The cleric’s intervention followed the circulation of a statement credited to Niger State governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, in which Christians were reportedly encouraged to participate actively in politics so that they could become eligible for political appointments.

But in a press statement circulated to Christians across the country, Pastor Emmanuel, who heads the PFN’s Directorate of Politics and Governance, warned that the church must not misunderstand political participation as a mere route to becoming aides, commissioners, advisers or other appointees of those already in power.

According to him, Christians must aspire to become active participants in the process that produces political leaders rather than remaining on the sidelines until the winners emerge and begin distributing appointments.

“Christians should not wait or be looking for appointments from governors or even from Mr President,” the PFN political director declared.

He maintained that political appointees, irrespective of the prestige of their offices, often operated within limits imposed by the political authorities who appointed them and might therefore lack the independent political base required to influence the direction of governance.

For Pastor Emmanuel, the fundamental question is not how many Christians are appointed into government after elections, but whether Christians are sufficiently organised within the political system to influence who emerges as party leaders, delegates, candidates and ultimately, elected public office holders.

His prescription is a grassroots political awakening through the existing structure of the DPG within the PFN.

The fiery Pentecostal leader argued that many calls urging Christians to “get involved in politics” had remained superficial because they failed to explain where genuine political power began.

That power, he insisted, did not begin at the Presidential Villa, the Governor’s Office or even at the polling booth on election day.

“Politics is local,” he declared, stressing that Christians who restricted their political participation to obtaining Permanent Voter Cards and casting ballots every four years might continue to reproduce the same political order they complained about.

According to him, the real battle for political influence takes place long before election day—within party structures, ward meetings, local government political formations and the processes through which delegates and candidates emerge.

Pastor Emmanuel argued that a voter might exercise his or her franchise on election day, yet remain powerless over the internal processes that produced the candidates on the ballot in the first place.

That, he said, was why the Church must move from mere electoral participation to strategic political organisation.

“The grassroots is where power lies in politics,” he insisted.

He warned that without a deliberate effort by Christians to join and participate actively in political party structures at the ward level, the electorate could continue to vote in candidates handpicked by entrenched political interests.

A major plank of Pastor Emmanuel’s argument is the crucial role played by party delegates.

According to him, there can be no consistent emergence of credible candidates without credible delegates who are prepared to participate in party primaries and resist the imposition of unpopular or unsuitable aspirants.

Since delegates and party officials emerge largely through structures rooted in the grassroots, he argued, Christians who desired a greater voice in governance must not abandon the political field until the period of general elections.

“If Christians are absent where delegates are produced, where party officials emerge and where candidates are selected, they should not be surprised when they repeatedly find themselves choosing from a list of candidates produced entirely by political forces they had no role in shaping,” he maintained.

He said the DPG structure established within the PFN was designed to provide a platform for political education, mobilisation and participation by Christians across the country.

Pastor Emmanuel therefore called on Church leaders and Christian leaders at all levels to mobilise their members towards lawful and democratic participation in politics, beginning from their respective wards and communities.

The objective, according to him, should not be the creation of a religious political monopoly or the replacement of one form of domination with another, but the development of an informed, organised and responsible Christian constituency capable of participating effectively in Nigeria’s democratic process.

The DPG National Director also expressed deep concern over what he described as the danger of political apathy among Christians.

He warned that a religious community that distanced itself completely from governance risked surrendering decisions about its future to others.

For him, political neutrality in the face of decisions affecting security, the economy, education, religious freedom and the general direction of the country could come at a heavy cost.

Pastor Emmanuel also raised concerns about extremist tendencies and religious intolerance, warning that Nigerians must remain vigilant against every ideology or movement that seeks to undermine the country’s constitutional democracy, religious freedom and plural character.

While alleging that certain forces were working towards the Islamisation of Nigeria, he urged Christians not to respond to perceived threats with violence or religious hostility, but with democratic organisation, political enlightenment and legitimate participation in governance.

Nigeria, he argued, must remain a country where no religion, ethnic group or ideological movement is allowed to impose itself on the rest of the population outside the provisions of the Constitution.

The answer to intolerance, domination or extremist tendencies, he suggested, was not another form of extremism.

To the Cleric, what matters is the strengthening of democracy, participation, organisation and the mobilisation of citizens—Christians, Muslims and adherents of other faiths alike—who believe in a Nigeria governed by constitutional principles rather than religious coercion or political godfatherism.

The Muslim Ummah of South-West Nigeria, MUSWEN, has congratulated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, NSCIA, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In a statement signed by its President, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, and Executive Secretary, Professor Wole Abbas, MUSWEN said it joined Muslims across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating the Sultan’s remarkable life of service, leadership and commitment to the advancement of Islam, peaceful coexistence and national development.

The organisation described the Sultan as a respected traditional and religious leader whose counsel, wisdom and statesmanship had over the decades contributed significantly to the unity of the Muslim Ummah and the stability of the nation.

“As Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the NSCIA, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has consistently championed the cause of religious harmony, interfaith understanding, peaceful coexistence and national unity. His interventions on matters of national importance have demonstrated courage, maturity and a deep commitment to the peace and progress of Nigeria,” the statement reads in part.

MUSWEN particularly acknowledged the Sultan’s efforts in promoting unity among Muslims and strengthening cooperation among Islamic organisations and leaders across the country.

It noted that his leadership had remained a source of inspiration to the Muslim faithful, especially at a time when Nigeria required greater understanding, tolerance and collective commitment to national development.

The body prayed that Almighty Allah continue to grant the Sultan good health, wisdom, strength and long life in the service of Islam, humanity and Nigeria, while also seeking divine guidance, protection and blessings for him and his household.

National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has said that it has approved 2027 Hajj fares based on the respective departure zones.

According to a circular issued in Abuja on Friday by the NAHCON management, the respective departure zones are: Maiduguri/Yola zone – N7.57million, Northern zone – N7.68million and Southern zone – N7.89million.

The commission also noted that remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by states must be completed by December 2, 2026.

It added that no extension would be granted beyond the deadline, as data synchronisation and seat allocations depended entirely on timely remittances.

“In line with the principle of transparency, cost-efficiency, and the Federal Government’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) announces the 2027 Hajj fares approved by the Federal Government.

“The approved fares were determined following consultations with the leadership of the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, key service providers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and careful consideration of prevailing exchange rates and service costs.

“The approved 2027 Hajj fares, based on the respective departure zones, are as follows: Maiduguri/Yola zone – N7.57 million, Northern zone – N7.68 million and Southern zone – N7.89 million.”

According to the commission, intending pilgrims who hitherto deposited N5 million are required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.

It urged the new registrants to proceed with payment through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies, or Commissions or through any approved Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS) participating bank.

“In strict compliance with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s policy, NAHCON has fixed Sept. 26, 2026, as the final and absolute deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

“While remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by states must be completed by Dec. 2, 2026. No extension will be granted beyond this deadline, as data synchronisation and seat allocations depend entirely on timely remittances.

“The commission wishes to emphasise that failure to meet the set deadlines will result in forfeiture of the allocated Hajj slots.”

The First African Church Mission, TFIACM, has elected Most Rev. Christian-John Ogbonnaya as its new Primate and Elder Ayorinde Ajala as Deputy Lay President.

The church tasked the new leadership with sustaining its missionary activities and strengthening its impact on society.

The church made this known in a communique issued in Lagos on Friday at its ongoing 135th Annual Conference at its Prayer City, Omo-Ijebu, Lagos State.

The communique was signed by a committee chaired by Rt. Rev. David Oladele, with Mr Seun Adekoya as Secretary and Mr Femi Ojeyinde, Mrs Kemi Komolafe and Ven. Livingstone Okwa as members.

The conference, with the theme: “Let Us Do It Now,” began on August 10 and will end on August 16.

According to the church, the election of the new leadership marks the end of the tenure of the outgoing Primate, Sunday Matilukuro, who will disengage from the TFIACM ministry on September 30.

It congratulated Matilukuro on the successful completion of his tenure and also congratulated the Primate-elect and other newly elected leaders on their emergence at the election of the College of Bishops.

The church also expressed appreciation to God over the completion and dedication of the Primate Palace on August 4.

It said that the development was historic as it would enable the Primate to officially reside in the palace for the first time in the history of the mission.

The church said that it would continue to pray for Nigeria’s leaders to pilot the affairs of the country with the fear of God.

It also urged parents to devote adequate time to the upbringing of their children, to build a better country.

“The incoming Primate and General Council should ensure that the model school should not just be a vision but a reality in the not-too-distant future,” the church said.

It said that the reconstituted members of its Board of Trustees were presented at the session and their status confirmed by the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC.

The church also congratulated Ven. Joel Yokti, Bishop-elect of the proposed Juntan Diocese.

The Celestial Church of Christ, CCC, has begun investigation into the death of Nollywood actress, Temitope Osoba.

The commencement of the probe was announced in a statement by the church’s Head, Media and Publicity, Mr. Kayode Ajala.

The church said the probe was informed by the need to determine the alleged involvement of the fiance and shepherd of the church, one Prophet Itunu Onadeko, in Osoba’s death.

“The murky allegations surrounding the involvement of Prophet Itunu Onadeko are, to say the least, quite embarrassing to the Celestial Church of Christ,” the church declared.

It added that “we are not folding our arms and watching from the kerb, as the name and image of our church is dragged and battered by the alleged involvement of Prophet Itunu Onadeko in the untimely death of Temitope Osoba.”

The church warned that if the allegations against Prophet Itunu Onadeko of the Celestial Church of Christ were found to be true at the end of the ongoing investigations, he would not only be made to face the internal sanctions of the church, but he would also be made to face the full length of the law.

The statement reads in full:

“The announcement of the death of Temitope Osoba, a talented Nollywood Yoruba actress, on Wednesday, 5th August, 2026, has continued to generate heated and emotional reactions in the country’s media space. Expectedly so, as the circumstances surrounding her death remain shrouded, not only in mystery, but also in controversy.

“Many are pained that she died at the young age of 40, while others are irked that her death occurred at a time when the din occasioned by her celebration of surviving breast cancer had barely subsided. And for others still, the suspicion that her fiancé, one Prophet Itunu Onadeko of the Celestial Church of Christ, allegedly had a hand in her death, serves as the fuel for their blistering anger.

“For us in the Celestial Church of Christ, we are quite sad that a promising life has been cut short in its prime, and we not only share in the palpable grief of her immediate family, relations and the loved ones she left behind, we are also particularly disturbed and concerned that a Shepherd of our church, one Prophet Itunu Onadeko, is not only involved in this controversy, but has also dragged the name of the Celestial Church of Christ into an extremely disgusting mess.

“At this point, we wish to make it clear that the Celestial Church of Christ is a Christian Bible believing religious church. Our worship is divinely inspired. There is absolutely no room for idolatry, black magic, cultism, and the use of charms in our church. Indeed, the Celestial Church of Christ operates under very strict spiritual tenets and a code of conduct clearly outlined in the church’s constitution.

“The murky allegations surrounding the involvement of Prophet Itunu Onadeko are, to say the least, quite embarrassing to the Celestial Church of Christ. *And we are not folding our arms and watching from the kerb, as the name and image of our church is dragged and battered by the alleged involvement of Prophet Itunu Onadeko in the untimely death of Temitope Osoba.

“As a church, we are already discreetly investigating the circumstances that led to the death of Temitope Osoba, and we wish to assure the general public that the Celestial Church of Christ would leave no stone unturned to unearth the truth, and to ensure that anyone found culpable in the death of Temitope Osoba is brought to justice.

“We are also calling on the Police and all relevant law enforcement agencies to ensure that the death of Temitope Osoba is properly and thoroughly investigated with a view to ensuring that justice is served. The Celestial Church of Christ is ready to work hand-in-hand with the relevant law enforcement agencies to ensure that all culprits are brought to book.

“His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, wishes to assure the family of the deceased, and the general public that the internal machinery of the church is working round the clock to ensure that the truth prevails and justice is served in this matter.

“If the allegations against Prophet Itunu Onadeko of the Celestial Church of Christ are found to be true at the end of ongoing investigations, he would not only be made to face the internal sanctions of the church, but he would also be made to face the full length of the law.

“May the soul of Temitope Osoba rest in perfect peace. Amen.”

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has warned that intending pilgrims who fail to submit their valid international passports by August 25 may not be allocated seats for the 2026 Hajj.

The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, disclosed this in a statement signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman Dederi, on Saturday in Kano.

“The deadline is necessary to enable the board to complete the enrolment and documentation of registered intending pilgrims ahead of the Hajj exercise.

“The measure is in view of the anticipated closure of the Saudi Arabian Hajj registration server towards the end of August,” it disclosed.

The statement urged all registered intending pilgrims “who are yet to submit their passports to do so on or before Aug. 25.”

It added that the board would not be responsible for any consequences arising from failure to comply with the deadline.

The board therefore advised intending pilgrims to treat the directive with urgency and ensure full compliance within the stipulated period.

By ‘DIPO ONABANJO

Background details

Pauline Walley-Daniels, Ph.D. is an ordained Prophetic-Deliverance Apostle, who teaches the Word of God with dramatic demonstrations. She is the President of Pauline Walley Evangelistic Ministries and Christian Communications, the CEO of Overcomers House Institutes, and the Prophetic Deliverance Theological Training Institute, which includes the School of Intensive Training for Leadership Equipment, and the School of Deliverance in New York.

She is affiliated with the Vision International University/Vision International Ministries Network; the Christian International Ministries Network, the Association of Christian Educators Accountability, and is the Secretary-General of Faithful Ministers Fellowship of New York.

She holds a master’s degree in journalism and a Ph.D. in Pulpit Communications and Expository Preaching. She is a recipient of the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

She is the author of several songs: Gospel Music Albums and books on various disciplines including – Mentoring and Leadership, The Holy Spirit, Spiritual Warfare, Strategic Prayer, Deliverance Solutions, Tactical Evangelism, Prophetic Equipment and Empowerment, as well as many others.

The Beginning:

I was born to a Christian family and surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus at the age of 13, so I have always been a Christian. My parents were: Bishop Enoch and Felicia Walley. Both of them are late now.

Our home was very dedicated to the Christian Faith, as my parents were committed to the tenets of the Holy Bible for Christianity.

From the inception of our great grand-parents to date, our daily life started with the prayer of praise, worship, and adoration unto Jehovah God, as early as 4am. Irrespective of the times and seasons, we were woken up with the sound of music. My parents loved hymns and they sang all hymns as the seasons required. They could sing many hymn stanzas off head as they recited Bible passages like Psalms 23, 24, 91, 92, 121, 92. 119, etc.

The Scriptures were read from the Holy Bible and also memorized for practical usage in our daily endeavours. I grew up with the knowledge based on the fact that nothing must be done outside the Biblical and Spoken Word of God. The word of God is our eyes spectacle, walking stick, the rod of correction, and guidance in our daily lives, and endeavours. As the Scriptures declare, “the Word of God is a lamp to the feet and a light to the path” (Ps 119: 105 & 130).

Ministerial Destiny Encounters

I started having encounters from the Lord Jesus Christ about my ministerial destiny during my early pre-adolescent years, when I was in the elementary school. Then my parents were Anglicans, but had veered into the Jehovah Witness movement for a while.

The first encounter: How Christ Jesus picked me up as a little girl.

At the age of eight years, I was sitting in class, when I had an open eye vision. I was then in Class three at the Accra New Town Elementary School (ANT 6 & 8), in Ghana.

In that vision, Christ Jesus came to our School. All the children were excited. They ran towards Him as they shouted his name: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus…!!! Some jumped into his arms, while He picked up some, some others held on to his garment, some sat on his shoulders, some in His arms, and others sat at his feet. Everyone had a space to hold on to him. There were multitudes of children from everywhere, yet everyone got a place in Him (Christ Jesus).

As soon as he saw me, he beaconed to me to come. He opened his arms and suddenly, I also found myself wrapped in his arms. It was amazing how the Lord Jesus gave room to every one of the many children that came to Him in the vision.

The Second Encounter: A Ladder from Heaven

In the second encounter, which was also an open eyes vision while I was in the same classroom. I suddenly fell into a trance, during which I saw a ladder from the earth into the sky. The top of the ladder was covered with a beautiful cloud of glory, and I saw the Lord stretch out his hands and beaconed to me to come. Then I climbed up the ladder…

When I got home from school that evening, I shared the revelation with my private teacher who tutored me at home after school hours, and on weekends, as well as during school vacations. His name was Mr. Stephen Mensah. He was then a teacher at Quartey Memorial School, Accra New Town.

After narrating the vision to him, Mr. Stephen instructed me to draw an illustration of my vision on the black board. On seeing the illustration, he then requested me to go bring my Bible. Then, I had one of the Children’s Bibles that had illustrations of biblical stories. Interestingly, there was a similar illustration about Jacobs’s dream. He explained that God was calling me to come and be like Jacob (Gen 28:10-17).

From there on, the desire to be like the Virgin Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ filled my soul as the revelation was stirred up in me. That’s the desire to serve the Lord with my whole life filled my thoughts, body, soul, and spirit.

The encounters increased as I grew up in knowledge of the Lord, and felt the need to evangelize the human race for salvation, healing, and deliverance of souls. The burden to rescue the perishing and care for the dying was very crucial in my life.

When, how and why you established your Ministries. Why you left journalism and veered into evangelism. What was the motivation?

Hahaha… I haven’t quit journalism. I have rather advanced my journalism profession into evangelism. So, I am occupied with Journalistic-Evangelism and Evangelistic-Journalism. Both professions roll over each other in my daily endeavours.

As a Journalistic-Evangelist, I investigate the matters that need spiritual surgeries, deliverance, warfare, and devise solutions from biblical perspective according to divine authorization.

Based on the findings, I enquire the process of the solutions through prayer and fasting.

I engage the Lord in a conversation during which he shows me the root cause of a problem, what to do, and how to resolve the problem concerned.

Then I document the problems and solutions in manuscripts for publication into books, so that all would have access to the information needed to meet unmet needs around the world.

So, my professional endeavour as a journalist provides me with the skills needed to function as an effective evangelist.

Journalism is one of the powerful professions that enables you to articulate and understand revelations.

Revelations come in various forms and dimensions. Fundamentally, revelation is spiritual, yet, it has a place in various facets of human lives and endeavours. So, a revelation may be related to various facets of the human realms such as the physical realm, the emotional realm, the secular realm, the financial realm, the business realm, the family/marital realm, and other aspects of human existence.

The intellectual sphere of journalism demands a spectacle that sees beyond the ordinary.

This is where my professional intellectuality causes me to soar like an eagle with the eyes that see beyond the ordinary to dissect a problem, analyse the root cause, and secure a solution that aligns with the Scriptural Word of God, to fulfil destiny.

So, I am still a journalist, but a Journalistic-Evangelist with a Prophetic-Deliverance impetus.

The Revelatory Encounters with the Prophetic-Deliverance Dimension

In addition to my pre-teen encounters were the Pre-adolescent dimension that provides the Prophetic-Healing and Deliverance impetus.

I was about 13 years old when a burden for evangelism rested upon me. I would see myself wearing a white dress, standing before a crowd, and sharing the gospel. Then I felt the need to go out on the street to share the gospel tracts and speak to people about the love of Jesus Christ. I responded to this intuition as I was stirred up to go and share the gospel message everywhere. So during school vacation seasons, I would wake up early in the mornings and evenings when people were gathered at the Bus Stations on their way to work and returning home.

In those days, very few people could afford televisions and there were no social media devices. People gathered in their communities after their daily endeavours to socialize with families, friends, and neighbours. In addition to knocking on doors, and face-to-face evangelism, the community gatherings served as an avenue to share the gospel. It was an easy method of campaign that attracted attention and generated good response with respect to righteousness and the fear of God.

Furthermore, I also engaged in dawn broadcast. I went out early in the mornings at dawn to share the gospel by announcing the love and care of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Although it was an hour when people were sleeping in their homes, whenever they heard the loud call-out from a young girl inviting them to come to Jesus, some would open their windows to listen, some would come out of their rooms and stand or sit by their doors, while some would see it as an opportunity to start their daily activities.

Some would respond to the prayers and others would request prayers for healing, and other needs. In the process, I saw many miracles happened as the people came after me to express their appreciation for the miracles they experienced.

During School sessions, although I was in the boarding house, I would request permission from the school authorities to visit other schools to share the gospel message on weekends. Most School Patrons and Matrons used to include me in their weekly Chapel schedules so I could share the gospel. This enabled me to travel to various schools to advance the gospel of salvation and righteousness.

From my early adolescent age till date, I have always travelled to different parts of the world to share the gospel. Whether invited or not, I depended on divine instructions and directions to go and propagate the gospel.

Up to date, I am always ready to go anywhere the Lord sends me.

What informed the dramatization of evangelical messages which seems to be your unique selling point?

I discovered that Knowledge is power and wisdom is guidance.

Naturally, I am a dramatic person. I usually use illustrations to explain whatever I have to say and do.

More so, I usually see and hear the voice of the Lord in pictures like a movie scenario.

Even when I am reading and studying the Scriptures, it forms like an event in my eyes and mind.

Sometimes, I feel like acting a movie to demonstrate the gospel message that I receive.

So, some of the writings in my books open with scenarios of poetic and dramatic expressions.

Consequently, some of the feedbacks received from various audience confirm that people easily remember the illustrations that were dramatized to explain the gospel messages that I present.

So, the ability to impact knowledge through dramatization with poetic and musical expressions usually captures the audience attention. Many people remember me for the illustrations, the stories, the songs, and the dance presented along with my messages.

What factors really are behind your successes so far?

Attention!!! Obedience!!! Attention and obedience are important aspects of divine relationship, and every aspect of human life. Paying attention to instructions and directions help to establish a connection to divine plans and purposes.

Hearing, listening, and obeying instructions come by paying attention. When you develop the habit of respecting and honouring authority, it will never be difficult to walk with the Lord in the light of his word. Many people run away from rebuke, correction, and obedience, because they do not want anybody to instruct, direct, nor authorize them in anyway.

By the grace of God, I was born and raised by parents that believed in strictness and discipline at all times. As a family of educationalists and institutionalists, the instruments of discipline and corrections were never far away from my parents. These instruments were part of the tools that they used frequently to administer their occupational endeavours.

The frequency of discipline and rebuke helped everyone around to behave diligently, as we allowed the fear of God and righteousness to rule our lives and endeavours. We realized that those who ignored and run away from these fundamental instruments of instruction and direction suffered some ruins in their lives, as they could not meet up with the demand for destiny orientation.

The Word of God declares that Obedience is better than Sacrifice, and rebelliousness is as the sin of witchcraft. “So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”

Some Factors Behind my Success

I took a diligent note of Saul’s ascension to the royal throne established by the Lord himself. I also paid attention to his journey to and from the royal palace. Then, I purposed in my heart to be simple and humble, no matter what I achieve in life. Although many people take humility for stupidity, and try to frustrate, and suppress me, yet, I rather obey the Lord God Almighty than to submit to the pride that destroys divine destiny. I have suffered rejection and vulnerability in different aspects of life, yet I have decided to allow the will of God to be done in my life, rather than to allow the standards of the world to elevate me to a famous acceptability that moth and wroth destroy.

Firstly, when the Lord calls, He lays a burden upon your heart and shoulder, and also equips you with a package related to the assignments.

The package includes the instruction and direction on how to carry out the assignments. The Bible is the standard and basic instructional manual for the assignment.

That was the reason the Lord Jesus trained the disciples, and instructed them to wait until they are endued with power. The empowerment would enable them to do the assignment that have been entrusted into their care.

With Regard to your question, I realized that doing ministry is not all about preaching. Jesus did not only come to teach, but to show us the way of salvation by correction. He also had to shed his blood to wash away our sins, in addition to dying for us. The process of redemption is a thorough and tough job of cleansing, purifying, and sanctifying.

Moses was not a preacher but a teacher who had the burden to deliver the Israelites from their old ways in order to adopt a new life in the Lord. As he received the laws and the statutes, he had the command to write down the commandments and also teach it by interpretation for the people to understand.

Most often, divine instructions are simple, because the Heavenly Father likes to speak to his children as his own babies/children. Unfortunately, many people do not want to be corrected because they see it as being treated like babies, so they ignore and disobey.

Spiritual Relationship

I ask questions and enquire about everything from the Lord. The more I engage the Lord to find out or investigate a matter, the more he speaks to me. Sometimes, I face obstacles because the people around want me to do things according to the standards of the environment and the world. Pleasing people can be dangerous, if you do not apply wisdom. It is better to seek the people’s opinion while you try to manage divine instruction. Whenever you try to enforce your decision by quoting “the Lord said” or “the Holy Spirit showed me”, or “God told me”, you are likely to be rejected and frustrated. Some will quickly withdraw their support and live you to struggle with your vision and decision.

Instead of appreciation for the goodness of God, I usually see and feel an expression of envy and jealousy everywhere. People come around because they want their needs to be met. As soon as they are satisfied, they pull away. However, the genuine love of Jehovah God has kept me secured in his protective arms.

**Simple obedience has rescued me from shame, disgrace, and embarrassment. Hence, the miracle of success has continued. This year (2026) marks the 54 years of my evangelistic mission life. I have tried to obey every bit of instruction given directly by divine unction. Some of them were passed on by various leaders, and authorities. Irrespective of age, gender, and status, the Lord uses any available vessel useful for the kingdom to carry out different assignments.

I have survived different kinds of abuses, embarrassments, and challenges that stemmed from envy and jealousy as well as unhealthy competitions. But, the love and fear of God have been keeping me.

Encounter with Writing

The Dramatic and Poetic Expressions

I have always been poetic and dramatic in my life endeavours. I like to sing and demonstrate whatever I have to say and do. I did not realized it was a divine call and assignment until I got a divine instruction.

The Call to Write and Publish: I have always seen myself writing in similar patterns until when I received the divine instruction that assigned me to write and publish. So I used to write stories about situations that I gave to my teachers and colleagues to edit. Some were returned while others were never given back to me. However, I never gave up because I felt the burden to write until when it would be possible to publish.

Part of my preparation for ministerial equipment was the journalistic training. This training enabled me to learn how to investigate and write reports in a dramatic manner for easy understanding of Divine instructions and directions.

The training enabled me to pay attention to the details of what I hear, see, and receive in order to make adequate presentation in my writing.

One day while I was asking the Lord, for resources to carry out the mission of evangelism, he commanded me to stretch out my hands. When I did, I heard him ask me, “What is in your hands?” Immediately, my eyes were opened to see different kinds of writings and publications. Then he asked, “What do you see?” So, I responded by stating the different things that I saw. “These included manuscripts for books, poems, drama, and musical notes as well as songs.”

From there on, my senses became more sensitive to hear, to see, to speak, and to understand the things that happen in the spiritual realm. Whenever, I received a message, I would also receive the instruction to write what I hear, see, receive, with understanding.

Unless, I receive an instruction, it is not easy for me to write. As soon as I receive an instruction, I have to set myself aside with prayer and fasting to write down the message. Staying in the presence of the Lord is a discipline that requires attention and obedience.

The following terms/phrases feature particularly on your campaign posters: recovering destiny; spiritual surgery; prophetic treatment, etc. What do they mean and of what relevance are they to Christianity and humanity generally?

Some phrases and terminologies that are featured in my campaign can be described as frequent working tools. They are not just phrases but the actual guides to solutions. Sometimes, people are not able to describe or pinpoint the exact problem to which they require solutions.

When people request prayer, and make more request after praying, but they are still not satisfied, then they will keep making the same request in circles, and even go from place to place, from one prayer house to another, from one minister to another, and then end up losing some important phenomenon in their mind, as though the Lord God is not there for them.

This is where my assignment emerges to investigate the matter in different realms of life. The act of prayer involves asking, seeking, and knocking. Christ Jesus often asked recipients questions before praying for them.

He asked the blind man Bartimaeus, “So, What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.” (Mark 10:46-52)

Recovering destiny:

It is pertinent that some matters need a counselling session before prayer is offered. A medical doctor does not prescribe a medication without investigating the matter for which a patient require healing.

Although it was obvious that Bartimaeus was blind, Jesus still asked for the reason that caused him to cry for mercy. Sometimes we assume the need and we just offer the prayers. Until the requester expresses their need and pain, they will keep going round the circles of their request.

Destiny: Destiny is the plan and purpose that the Lord God has for us, which is usually a comfortable life of fulfilment.

Recovery: The acts of challenges, difficulties, and other forms of attacks usually interfere with our destiny. Certain attacks are elements of distractions that cause people to fall out of place. In the process, some may fall out of their divine destiny and become refugees and vagabonds.

Living and walking outside the path of destiny can be dangerous and fatal. Hence, there is need for recovery and restoration in order to return to the divine path of destiny.

Salvation is correction, and redemption is cleansing. The process of salvation fosters recovery of life and destiny. As a journalistic-evangelist, part of my mandate is to rescue the perishing and care for the dying. Falling out of the path of destiny by distraction or any other challenges may lead to some form of death. Death varies as there are different kinds of deaths – be it spiritual or physical expiration. So recovery is necessary to revive and restore the life that is rescued from perishing. The purpose of the evangelistic ministry is to save, deliver, and redeem souls from perishing under the powers of darkness, and bring them into the light to recover the joy of salvation.

Spiritual surgery

All matters do not require surgery, so we don’t always go through surgery whenever we visit our medical doctors. In order to ensure that our general health is normal, and to provide a quick intervention to dangerous situations, we are required to do an annual medical check-up.

Deliverance ministration is supposed to be an annual spiritual-medical check-up for every Christian/child of God. In view of lack of knowledge, the role of deliverance has been reduced to demonic cases and exorcism.

Spiritual surgery is a case comparable to the need for medical surgery, where there is need for divine intervention. Christ Jesus explained to the disciples, stubborn problem, bondages, and certain demonic obstacles, and deep rooted challenges do not go away except by prayer and fasting. Although these kinds of ministrations are usually referred to as deliverance, a thorough process is comparable to spiritual surgery where one’s challenge is totally cured and redeemed from reoccurrence throughout life. Evil spirits have a way of playing a return game from generation to generation or attacking some other areas of people’s endeavours periodically at certain seasons. (Matt 17: 21 & Mark 9:14-29).

Prophetic treatment

God is not a prophet, but His word becomes prophetic when it is spoken through a messenger or written. A message is prophetic because a messenger, a minister, or a prophet received it like a post master. The presentation from God to man is not prophetic. It is the presentation from man to a person or people that makes the word of God prophetic.

The act of prophetic treatment is a state of using the spoken word of God and biblical or Scriptural Word of God to analyse or solve a problem. Which means make the prophetic treatment, a biblical means of devising solutions by seeking divine wisdom and counsel according to biblical guidance – line upon line, and precept upon precept. (Isaiah 28:9-13)

Isaiah 28:13 But the word of the LORD was to them, “Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little,” That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.

Why establish school of strategic prayer and training when theology as course of study embodies issues of prayer, etc? What really is strategic about prayer?

Interesting. Many people have quarried me on this matter of training people to pray and how to perform ministerial activities. It is better to ask questions than to condemn the works that the Lord has assigned some of us to perform.

From the beginning of the Old Testament to the end of the New Testament, various forms of education that include teaching, training, equipping, and empowering are mentioned. Education is a strong and formidable aspect of destiny fulfilment.

Education is a means of providing knowledge and wisdom to humanity. So the Scripture declares, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” (Hosea 4:6)

As I study the scriptural word of God, I have discovered that knowledge is power and wisdom is guidance. One of my major assignments and mandates is to educate by training to equip and empower people on how to live and walk with the Lord in the kingdom of righteousness.

A lot of people are spiritually obese because they are not feeding on the appropriate spiritual meals. Their diet is weak and their not feeding on balanced spiritual diet, causes malnutrition. That was part of the reasons that the disciple of the Lord Jesus discovered that their prayers were not effective. So, they requested to be taught how to pray by comparing themselves with the disciples of John the Baptist.

My call and assignment is to educate, teach, train, equip, and empower for destiny fulfilment. This assignment is done through the various School of Intensive Training that are organised periodically in various countries.

The Schools of Intensive Training are focused on preparing people to walk the path of their destiny.

The trainings are purposed to stir up people to discover the purpose of their lives and existence.

Each person is sent to earth on an errand to fulfil a destiny.

Unfortunately, many are copying others without seeking divine direction while others are resisting and frustrating the helpers who are supposed to assist them.

The trainings are for educating, equipping, and connecting people to their divine destiny.

For instance, the School of Strategic Prayer is for training people to understand spiritual communications and interaction. The practical usage of languages and certain terminologies are needed to gain access into the presence of the Lord. The legal court system in the realm of the spiritual demands certain legal terminologies. Without knowledge, one can pray amiss and finally give up.

Why did you establish training institutes in Ghana and not Nigeria, for example?

My decisions are based on divine instructions. However, I have tried to do a training in Nigeria, Togo, Benin and other West African countries. I have done some training in Togo and praying for a host to do so everywhere. I will bring the training to Nigeria as soon as we find a willing heart and ministry to host it. I am loking forward to a person or an organization that is willing to be a vessel in this path of destiny. There are great ministers in Nigeria and across the continent of Africa. We just need someone who is willing and available to work with us according to divine vision and mission assigned to us. The person may not be a minister, but like the biblical Cornelius, willing to be used of the Lord.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on public institutions, private sector, civil society organisations and faith-based societies across the country to collaborate with the government in building a prosperous and united Nigeria, stressing that governments alone cannot deliver the nation of the people’s aspirations.

The president gave this charge on Saturday at the inauguration of the New National Headquarters of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria held in Surulere, Lagos.

Tinubu who spoke through the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, said achieving the Nigeria of “our dreams requires the collective commitment of public institutions, the private sector, faith-based organisations, civil society and citizens, noting that sustainable national development is a shared responsibility.”

While urging institutions to contribute their expertise, resources and influence towards strengthening education, promoting good governance, fostering unity and driving socio-economic progress for the benefit of all Nigerians, the president commended the Okunnu family and the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria for their enduring contributions to national development.

“Nigeria remains eternally grateful for the family’s legacy of service, and to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for over a century of impactful contributions to education, healthcare, humanitarian interventions, moral development and community service, describing the organisation as a steadfast partner in the country’s progress,” said the president.

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, enjoined Nigerians to remain steadfast in upholding the nation’s core values, emphasizing that they are the foundation for sustainable development and national unity.

He cautioned that no nation could thrive without a strong moral compass, noting that integrity, discipline, patriotism and respect for one another were essential to building a peaceful, prosperous and resilient Nigeria, thereby calling on citizens to preserve these values and pass them on to future generations as the bedrock of the country’s continued progress.

According to him, “One thing that we cannot lose is our values. But sadly. How do we bring it back? It’s the only thing that can sustain us.

“While buildings will inevitably age, the ideas upon which the Society was founded must be preserved and strengthened for future generations,” Hamzat counselled, urging religious leaders to continue championing the cause of education and that no nation can achieve meaningful development if its citizens are uninformed.

In his goodwill message, the Grand Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Sulaimon Abdul- Noulla, commended the widespread presence and contributions of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society across Lagos State, citing its numerous educational and healthcare institutions located in different parts of Lagos.

He added that their presence reflected the society’s longstanding commitment to education, moral development and community service.

Earlier in his welcome address, the National President of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, reaffirmed the society’s commitment to partnering with the federal government in advancing national development, assuring that Ansar-Ud-Deen would remain a dependable ally in building a united, peaceful, secure and prosperous Nigeria through quality education, character development and selfless service to humanity.

He described the society as one of Nigeria’s foremost faith-based organisations, with a rich legacy of advancing education, moral development, healthcare, humanitarian services and community development for over a century.

“The commissioning of this new National Headquarters of the Society named after late Alhaja Hassanat Abebi Okunnu House, represented more than the unveiling of a building, but a symbol of the society’s renewed commitment to strengthening its institutions and expanding its impact across the country,” Kazeem noted.
