Saudi Arabia has announced that this year’s Eid-el-fitr will hold on Sunday.
According to a Saudi Gazette report, the announcement was made on Saturday following the sighting of the crescent moon of Shawwal in several locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The sighting of the moon marks the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the Islamic month of Shawwal.
Eid-el-Fitr will be observed across Saudi Arabia with special prayers on Sunday morning, followed by festive celebrations with family and community.
