BREAKING: Nigeria defeat Angola 1-0, in AFCON semi-finals

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Super Eagles defeated their Angolan opponent by a lone gone on Friday at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The goal was scored in the 44th minute of the match by Ademola Lookman.

Although Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen hit the back of the net with a header, but it was overruled by the referee, Issa Sy.

A very tough battle, the Angolan team got three yellow cards while Nigeria got one.

With the defeat, the Angola team is out of the competition while Super Eagles move to the semi-final stage.
