The Ibom Air female passenger, Comfort Emmanson, seen in a viral video, assaulting officials of the airline has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos.
She was remanded after she was arraigned by the police to whom she was handed by the security at the airport following her unruly behavior.
Mr. Tunde Moshood who is the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, confirmed the detention on Monday in a post on his X handle.
The post reads: “The more reason the flying public should be more careful, the unruly passenger on the Uyo–Lagos bound Ibom Air, Miss Comfort Emmanson, has been charged to court and she’s now cooling off in Kirikiri.”

Emmanson who was on the flight from Uyo International Airport in Akwa Ibom State to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, was seen in the viral video attacking a member of the cabin crew.
The unruly lady was said to have been offended when she was told to switch off her phone as the aircraft was about to take off in Uyo.
On arrival in Lagos, she was said to have attacked the official, causing commotion in the aircraft.
Security officials were later invited and she was forced out of the aircraft and handed over to the police.
The airline, in a statement, said her action posed a serious threat to the safety of the crew, passengers and aircraft.
Upon arraignment, she was sent to the correctional centre.
It would be recalled that only last week, popular fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, caused chaos at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport when he stood in front of a Value Jet aircraft as he was not allowed to board following his refusal to disclose the content of his flask.
