Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has been suspended.
According to available information, his suspension was in view of the ongoing probe over his alleged involvement in some malpractices.
Magu was “invited” to Aso Rock on Monday to face a panel investigating the cases against him.
The EFCC boss ran into trouble when the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, was said to have written a memo accusing him of involvement in some malpractices bordering on mishandling of recovered loot and assets from corrupt persons.
It would be recalled that in the spirited efforts by the Muhammadu Buhari administration to fight corruption, so many persons and organisations have been probed.
