“Chanel”, latest hit single by Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, featuring Afrobeats sensation, Asake, has clinched  top spots on major streaming platforms  within hours of its release.

The hit single was released on Thursday,  and now available across major platforms, including Spotify, Audiomack, and YouTube Music.

Within 24 hours of its drop, the song has established dominant playlist real estate across digital streaming platforms.

Initial data released by global music metrics platforms indicates that “Chanel” immediately secured prime positioning on Spotify’s flagship African playlists, including New Music Friday Afrobeats and Hot Hits Nigeria.

The top-tier placement has driven instant algorithmic momentum, indicating the track’s popularity in the daily streaming charts.

Industry analysts attribute the immediate chart success to the combined streaming power of both artistes, particularly highlighting the “feature effect” of Asake.

Asake enters the release holding the record as Spotify Nigeria’s number-one most-streamed artiste of all time, commanding over 8.6 million monthly listeners and surpassing 3.6 billion total career streams on the platform.

“Chanel” is projected to make a strong debut on the official TurnTable Top 100 charts in the coming week, as radio airplay and digital downloads continue to surge nationwide.
