Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, Mr Hyacinth Dajoh, has resigned from his position.
Dajoh’s resignation letter was posted on his Facebook wall on Sunday.
The lawmaker indicated that his resignation as the speaker of the 10th assembly took effect from August 24.
“This is done in faith and in the best interest of the state,” he said.

Dajoh expressed appreciation to his colleagues for the opportunity given to him to serve and to be the first among equals.
He pledged to remain committed to his duties as a legislator and representative of Gboko West State Constituency.
