A United States-based businessman, Mr Sani Musa Auwalu, has joined the list of 18 distinguished Nigerians to be conferred with honorary doctorate award at an international conference tagged LEIC Nigeria 2025.
Auwalu who hails from Kebbi, in Kebbi State, is attending the two-day conference which is pooling global leaders from 50 countries of the world.
Themed: “Leadership and Followership: The Bonding Factor and The Consequences of Insincerity”, the event is billed to hold at Continental Suites located on IBB Boulevard, Ibara at 10am on Friday August 15 to August 16, 2025.
Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who is the global patron of the organisation is expected as the conference keynote speaker.

Among other awardees are a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Adeyinka Moyosore Kotoye (SAN), two prominent traditional rulers, the Olu of Itori, Oba Fatai Akamo, Olu of Siun, Oba Lawrence Adisa Odeyinka and 15 other eminent personalities.
Other notable awardees drawn from different walks of life are the Ogun State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Remilekun Ekundayo, United States-based businessman, Surveyor Mrs Rántí Lemboye, Hon. Oladipo Akingbade and a Police Area Commander in the State.
Others include, Apostle Wale Fatolu, Chief Oluwakemi Odubote, Apostle Matthew Omooninkan, Mrs Felicia Okanlawon and Mr Adekunle Shoneye.
The rest are Mrs Mary Adenekan, Mrs Ruth Oladipupo, Rev Tunji Akintayo, Pastor Balogun Timothy and Apostle John Ayilara.
Auwalu, who deals chiefly in the importation of Long trucks into the country for transportation and haulage business, will bag the Doctor of Leadership (Honoris Causa).
