The Nigerian Army has opened applications for the Short Service Combatant Commission, SSCC, Course 50/2027 for eligible Nigerians, including qualified civilians and serving military personnel.
The Army, in a statement on Tuesday, said successful applicants would be commissioned into the Combat Arms and Combat Support Arms of the Nigerian Army.
It said the Combat Arms comprised Infantry and Armour, while the Combat Support Arms included Artillery, Engineers, Signals and Intelligence Corps.
“Prospective applicants are required to apply through the official Nigerian Army recruitment portal: nashortservice.army.mil.ng.
“Applicants are advised to select the SSCC option on the portal and carefully follow the application instructions,” it said.
The Army advised applicants to disregard unauthorised recruitment portals and announcements, urging them to rely exclusively on official Nigerian Army channels for accurate information.
It also encouraged prospective applicants to watch for official recruitment jingles on television and radio stations following the announcement of the exercise.
“The application deadline is Saturday, October 17, 2026.
“For enquiries, applicants may call 07016874003 or 07047340295 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily,” it added.
The Army urged qualified Nigerians interested in serving the country to take advantage of the recruitment opportunity before the application deadline.
