Akeredolu: Ondo govt declares two-day public holiday

The government of Ondo State has declared Thursday and Friday as public holiday in honour of the late former governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure.

He said the holiday was to enable the people of the state participate in the programmes scheduled for the days in honour of the late former governor.

Recall that Akeredolu died in Germany on December 27, 2023.

He is scheduled for burial on Friday in Owo, his hometown.
