AEDC gives reason for power outage in Abuja, environs

Electricity: Grid collapses again due to system disturbance

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has attributed the power outage in its franchise area to grid collapse.

The management of AEDC said this in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday.

It said the grid failure occurred at about 3.30 p. m. today and it affected power supply to its franchise area.

“Be assured that we are working with relevant stakeholders to restore power as soon as the grid is established,” it said.
