An Islamic scholar, Professor Saeed Olurotimi Timehin, has warned youths to do away with quick money making syndrome, as it could shorten their life span.

Timehin gave the warning at the 20 years anniversary of Aduranigba Daars Sahaadat Alasalatu of Nigeria, ADASSAN, cum Maolud Nabbiy, at Mowe, Ogun State.

According to him, there was no deity producing money and that there was no money ritual.

His words: “It is only God that can make you rich. In that case youths should be careful of what they are doing. There was also a time a young boy was caught at Ibadan with his friend skull, when asked what he wanted to used it for, he claimed it was for money ritual so as to buy a mansion at Lekki in Lagos.

“Most parents don’t have time for their children anymore; we don’t teach them our religion and moral any longer. Some parents have destroyed the life of their children all because they wanted them to be rich at all costs. We now have Internet Fraudsters Parents Association in Nigeria. Prophet Muhammad said there are two ways of life for man – the day of happiness and bitterness. We should let our children know these days. Don’t think you have it today, it will be like that forever, there are times for everything.

“Majority of us parents always show it to our children that it’s well. We are only taking care of their body, we are not taking care of their spiritual lives. Majority of those whose parents were rich couldn’t sustain what’s left for them. Because of worldly things some youths now can go to any length to make money.”

He added that parents should show their children ways of God, because a child who knows God will never go astray or do wrong things.

“We should let our children knows that the rich also cry and make them understand that they cannot get things done on a platter of gold. They should work for it. Those who cannot endure suffering today are those being lured into cultism, kidnapping and other vices. We also need to teach our children our language instead of forcing them to speak English. ”

Earlier in his welcome address, the Missioner of ADASSAN, Imam Suleiman Adigun, said the event was a remarkable one as the society started in 2003 under palm frond makeshift, but today there is a befitting mosque and Arabic class for the students.

Imam Adigun thanked all those who contributed to the development of ADASSAN, alive and dead and prayed Allah to reward them all.

The event making the 20 years anniversary of ADASSAN cum Moalud Nabiyy started on Friday with a special Jumat prayer, followed by a walk and medical screening for members and non-members alike.

The grand finale held on Sunday and awards were given.

The secretary of the planning committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Adisa, urged the awardees to justify the confidence repose in them.

Also, the president of old students of Daaru Sahaadat-Wa-Rosheed Taleem, Mr. Tunde Adisa, promised that the old students would continue to support the school and ADASSAN to get to an enviable height.

The second guest speaker, Sheilk Abdullah Olohunlomerue, urged women to be humble to their husbands and those around them.

He also called on young girls who dress indecently to change.

He urged the rich to help the poor in the society, stressing that it was the instructions from almighty God.
