The Eti-Osa Unit of the Muslim Lawyers Association, MULAN, has postponed till further notice, its inauguration and the swearing-in of executive committee, earlier scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Lagos.
The postponement, according to the group’s Publicity Secretary, Abdulhakeem O. Makinde, was in honour of one of its active leaders, Mr. Mufutau Mabokunrinje Adewale Sanni, who died on Thursday.
Sanni who was also the also Chairman, Eti-Osa Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, passed away in a motor accident in Lagos.
His remains will be interred in line with Islamic injunctions at 2 p.m. today (Friday, December 13, 2024) at his private residence, opposite Bulalala Beach at Okun Mopo Community, Eti-Osa, Lagos State.

The group described Sanni as a Muslim whose life exemplified service to humanity.
Sanni’s dedication to the cause of the NBA Eti-Osa Branch and his remarkable contributions to the legal profession at both the branch and national levels would forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him in his lifetime, the group declared.
The group expressed regret over any inconvenience the postponement might cause to those invited for the inauguration.
