One person is said to have died following the collapse of a mosque at Papa Ajao area of Mushin in Lagos State.
Five other persons have, however, been rescued.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, made this known in a statement by its Permanent Secretary, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu.
The mosque at Yusuf Street, Off Ladipo Road, Papa Ajao, was said to have collapsed when prayer was going on.
Search and rescue operations were said to be going on under the supervision of Oke-Osanyintolu.
Emergency responders at the scene, LASEMA said included the police, Lagos State Ambulance Service and Lagos State Fire Service.
