The Presidency has denied reports making the rounds that the United Arab Emirates, UAE, has resumed issuance of visas to Nigerians.
The denial was made on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on his X handle.

According to him, the document said to be containing the lifting of the ban was not authorized by any of the two countries – Nigeria and UAE.
His words: “UAE has not resumed visa issuance to Nigerians. The document in circulation is not authorized either by the Nigerian government or the UAE.”
