The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire have emerged the winners of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, AFCON.

Cote d’Ivoire which incidentally hosted the tournament defeated Nigeria 2 – 1.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were the first to score in the first half of the game through a header by its captain, Troost-Ekong.

However, during the second half of the match, Franck Kessie and Sebastien Haller scored one goal each to make Cote d’Ivoire emerge the winner.
