The Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University of Education, Professor Bidemi Bilkis Lafiaji-Okuneye, has praised members of the university community for their commitment, dedication and doggedness towards making the institution compete favourably with others.
Lafiaji-Okuneye gave the remark on the occasion of May 1, recognized as Workers Day.
In a statement made available, she enjoined staff members not to relent in their efforts to making the university attain greater heights.
The vice-chancellor also said she appreciated the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his commitment to the development of education in the state.
May 1st of every year is set aside to celebrate workers.
