The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO, has pledged academic scholarship from elementary up to the university level for the seven-month old baby of the slain APC loyalist who lost his life to the motor accident that occurred recently in Ede.
Oyebamiji also announced the facilitation of permanent employments for the wife of the deceased and a member of his family.
Recall that on 23rd June, a trailer rammed into the APC members during a peaceful canvassers inauguration in Ede-North local government area.
The ugly incident claimed the life of Mr. Ahmed Abdulrazak, a party loyalist as many sustained degrees of injury.
Meanwhile, the APC flag-bearer, during a condolence visit to the bereaved family disclosed the readiness to support them particularly the child of the deceased.
Oyebamiji, who was represented by his wife, Dr. Sekinah Bola-Oyebamiji said, “we had already settled all the hospital bills of the victims, but this visit is about something money can’t cover, it is about showing up, and reminding them that they are not bearing this burden alone.”
Speaking after the visits, Oyebamiji said, “We have visited each of the victims in their homes across Owode-Ede and Ede, to mourn with their families and pray for them. We beseeched God to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss of their loved one.
“In honour of the deceased, late Ahmed Abdulrazak, we extended support to his family in cash and as well as a scholarship to the university level for his 7-month-old baby. We equally facilitate permanent employments for his wife and a member of his family.
“To the bereaved family, we expressed our deepest condolences and to the injured, we wish them a full and quick recovery.”
