The Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, has condemned the delay or refusal by some tertiary institutions to refund tuition fees paid by students before NELFUND disbursements.

Also, NELFUND berated the institutions for arbitrary increases in tuition fees and other institutional charges.

The Fund made the condemnation in a statement issued by its Director, Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi.

NELFUND said it was already engaging the affected institutions and relevant authorities to ensure that due refunds were made to eligible students and that institutional charges remained fair, transparent, and consistent with the objectives of the scheme.

NELFUND said it remained committed to protecting the interests of students and preserving the integrity of the landmark national intervention.
