Troops kill two bandits, nab seven suspects in Kaduna, Zamfara

Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have intensified offensive operations across the North-West, killing two bandits, arresting seven suspected terrorist collaborators and foiling criminal activities in Kaduna and Zamfara states.

Operational report made available on Sunday revealed that troops of 4 Demonstration Battalion neutralised two bandits in Lere Village, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The report added that troops recovered rustled cows, an AK-47 rifle, a magazine and ammunition during a response to cattle rustling activities in the area.

In Zamfara State, the report stated that troops apprehended four suspected collaborators allegedly linked to notorious bandit kingpin, Gwaska Dan Karami, during a cordon-and-search operation in Birnin Magaji.

According to the report, the suspects were identified as Alhaji Yahya Hoji, Abdullahi Dan Tsabaro, Kabiru Dan Gulgule and Kalala.

The report also disclosed that three additional suspects with alleged links to terrorist activities were arrested during the screening of returning pilgrims at Gusau International Airport.

The military has reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining onslaught against bandits and terrorists, urging public to continue to support the troops in their efforts to secure communities in the North West.
