The Companion has heartily rejoiced with fellow Muslims across the globe, particularly in Nigeria, on the privilege of witnessing yet another season of the blessed days of the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah.
The days are widely acknowledged as among the best and most spiritually rewarding periods in the Islamic calendar.
As millions of Muslims gather in devotion and reflection, culminating in the sacred rites of Hajj in the Holy Land of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Companion extends warm felicitations to pilgrims presently observing the holy rites and to other Muslims.
“At a period when communities and nations increasingly grapple with crises of trust, widening inequality, insecurity and leadership deficits, the lessons of Dhul Hijjah remain profoundly relevant.
“Leadership, whether in governance, institutions, families, communities or religious circles, must be rooted in sincerity, justice, sacrifice and service to humanity,” the Islamic group said in a statement it issued.
It stated that for Nigeria in particular, the message deserved urgent reflection.
The nation’s diversity, rather than constituting a fault line, ought to be embraced as a source of collective strength, it said.
The Companion urged all Nigerians to consciously resist divisive tendencies and instead cultivate a culture of tolerance, understanding and social solidarity capable of advancing national peace and development.
While congratulating Muslims across Nigeria and the world on witnessing another season of immense blessings, The Companion urged believers to maximize the opportunities embedded in these sacred days through increased devotion, prayers, charity, sacrifice, kindness and renewed commitment to ethical conduct.
The association prayed that Allah, in His infinite mercy, accept the supplications, sacrifices and acts of worship of all Muslims.
