The Naira on Monday opened the trading week with appreciation against the U.S. Dollar at the official market trading at N1,442.51.
According to data released on the official website of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Naira gained 86 kobo.
This represents a 0.05 per cent gain when compared to Christmas Eve on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 when the local currency traded at N1,443.37 to a dollar.
The gain represents sustained appreciation for the local currency during the yuletide.
On Monday, December 22, 2025 the Naira traded at N1,456.56 while it sold at N1,449.98 to a dollar on Tuesday.
